I'm a sucker for slice of life stories. I especially love rural town settings. Anyway, I moved to a small town for a few months, and while I was there, I stared at the river and fishing boats. The serene scenery made me think, "My god, I need a cute, muscular fisherman in my life." That was how the story came to be. I wanted a light-hearted story about a goofy boy who 's trying really hard to become closer to his crush. The puzzle was unnessary to the plot, but it's there because I liked puzzles and wanted to push myself to code something I haven't done before. 

The main character's best friend, Theo, was initially supposed to be a love interest. If you got the neutral ending, you probably raised a brow at their relationship. Anyway, I didn't make him a love interest in the end because I wanted the story to be focused on the fisherman, Darius. Honestly, I've seen enough stories where the pretty boy gets the MC and the side character is a gentle, bulky dude who's my type. I want to turn the tables for once. Gentle, bulky dudes deserve the spotlight. They deserve more love.
